It is the first ever Eco Fruit Farm set up in a village to interact with villagers and farmer community to bring about village based agriculture development benefiting the stake holders ie. Village community, farmers, consumers, promoters.

• Variety of tropical fruit crops grown under coconut palms. Such as pineapple, papaya, passion fruit, banana, mango, rambutan, sour sop, star fruit with 25 less known varieties of Sri Lankan tropical fruits.
Three canopy multi cropping system which adopts SL traditional kandyan garden concept thus avoids / combats soil erosion and conserving moisture and rate of evaporation which accounts for practices of resource conserving technologies such as surface water conservation pits, rain water collection pits, moist conservation belts(salt) with husks pits, land terracing and landscape ecology, recycling process of solid waste composting and waste water
ex- farm gate processing for irrigation
purposes. |
• Diversity of mixed fruit crops encourages natural predators promoting biological control of pests promoting with innovative pest management practices with natural enemies of pests such as birds and reptiles.
Composting unit is an integral part enhancing soil microbial ecologies supported with Integrated nutrient supply of nitrogen fixing plants Eg: glyricidia - beneficial plants

• Elimination of application of synthetic materials. NO! to pesticides and herbicides with resurgence of micro eco system upgrades the soil which brings benefits to farmers, personal health, increases soil fertility, increases his capital and to community with good and healthy food and maintaining and regulating environment atmospheric qualities in a sustainable way paving the way for sustainable agriculture.
Ecological practices at the farm works entirely with natural processes and involves soil fertility building from its own resource conserving technologies and certification of the products with a seal confirming that our production methods are Certified as Organic under EEC regulation 2092/91 by certifier Control union /SKAL International of Netherlands in accordance with IFOAM regulations SKAL Licensee no 8023349.
